  3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?: I see myself supporting my parents with my own business.

  4. True leadership means to you: I define a leader as the one who takes effort together with the team, not the one who just sits and waits for the output of the team.

  5. The funniest or smartest person in the room? Why?: Funniest. My instinct just goes to the funniest and I think it is lovable to make my people laugh.

  8. The most unique part about working at Indigo Energy: Having the opportunity to try what you are interested in and passionate about. You may be pushed and squeezed to get a job done but it must be from your interested field of work.

  9. Favorite part of being a member of Indigo Energy: Being a member of a caring and professional working environment

Definition of your success at Indigo Energy: Being on the career path which is absolutely suitable and right for my personality is not only my success at Indigo Energy but also a turning point in my life. The procurement person needs to be engaged and communicative with stakeholders, suppliers, and his or her industry peers. Thus, procurement is very much about relationships, networking, and negotiations. On the other hand, my personality is preferably more into the extroverts and I have always been excited to expand my network, communicate, and negotiate with different people.

  11. The most challenging experience at Indigo Energy: The solar construction can only be run after the engineering and procurement processes, according to the order of EPC - engineering, procurement, and construction. As soon as I get the solar-related products’ data from my technical team members, I first need to inquire about the product suppliers and order these materials. I also have to identify the

best suppliers, follow up and negotiate with them and ensure the delivery of the right products at the right time. Sometimes, the solar engineering design may be changed and I have to reorder the materials again according to the updated product specification. At that time, I had to rush into getting the solar materials on time before the installation started. This was a little bit challenging for me but after we created a step-by-step solar project flowchart, both the procurement and technical teams could avoid this kind of rushed condition.

12. How has Indigo Energy helped you in your career development?: Indigo Energy helps me find the right career path. I joined Indigo Energy as a salesperson at first but it did not fit my personality well. Despite not fitting well with sales, Indigo Energy did not give up on me and gave me another opportunity in a different part of the business.  It offered me to try another career path as a procurement person. Now, I am confident with my procurement skills such as negotiating, following up with the suppliers, and doing product comparisons and recommendations. I also learned in Indigo Energy that planning is important and everything you do needs to be meaningful for yourself and for the team.
